Spirit Airlines forecasted weak second-quarter revenue due to slow domestic demand and grounding of aircraft impacted by RTX’s Pratt & Whitney engines. Estimates of 25 grounded aircraft through 2024 compared to competitors’ expanding capacity in core markets. Revenue forecasted between $1.32 billion and $1.34 billion for the second quarter. On an adjusted basis, the company lost $1.46 per share for the quarter ended March 31, with total revenue falling 6.2% to $1.27 billion.
