The CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, highlighted Bing’s growth to 140 million daily active users during a recent earnings call.

Although details are scarce, a post on Y Combinator Hacker News revealed OpenAI’s registration of the search.chatgpt.com domain. OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, expressed interest in the search engine landscape, potentially leading to the unveiling of an AI-powered search engine soon.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot is considered by some to be better than Microsoft Copilot, despite both being based on similar technology. Concerns have been raised about Copilot’s performance, with users favoring ChatGPT. However, Microsoft has indicated that users may not be utilizing Copilot as intended, citing a lack of prompt engineering knowledge among users.

OpenAI and Microsoft have faced multiple copyright infringement-related lawsuits regarding their AI tools, Copilot and ChatGPT. Publishers have raised concerns about the use of copyrighted content without consent or compensation. Altman acknowledged the necessity of copyrighted content for tools like ChatGPT but emphasized the need to address copyright infringement issues.
