Apple (AAPL) apologized for its ‘Crush’ ad for the new iPad Pro model due to negative feedback. VP of Marketing Communications, Tor Myhren, acknowledged the ad’s misalignment with Apple’s goal to empower creatives. As a result, the ad will not be televised, though it remains on Apple’s YouTube channel.

The ‘Crush’ commercial showcased a hydraulic press destroying various creative tools, aiming to depict the iPad as a versatile creative device. However, many creatives found the imagery wasteful and disrespectful to art, especially in a time of AI advancements threatening the creative industry.
