Apple Inc is in talks with OpenAI to use their technology on the iPhone, aiming to bring AI features to its devices. Discussions with Google about licensing a chatbot are ongoing. An agreement would introduce a popular chatbot and new AI features next month at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference.

Apple, OpenAI, and Google declined to comment on the negotiations. Apple CEO Tim Cook has expressed interest in AI, promising thoughtful integration of new features. OpenAI is set to announce updates, including a new ChatGPT model, today. However, a more powerful GPT-5 model is not expected to be released yet.
