Tech stocks rise, Google partners with HP for video conferencing service, Microsoft introduces GPT-4o

Tech stocks were on the rise on Monday, with XLK and XSD up 0.5% and 0.4% respectively. The Philadelphia Semiconductor index also saw a 0.3% increase.

Alphabet’s Google announced a partnership with HP to launch Starline, a video conferencing service, in 2025. Alphabet’s stock remained flat, while HP shares gained 0.8%.

Microsoft-backed OpenAI introduced GPT-4o, a new flagship model capable of real-time responses across audio, vision, and text. Microsoft shares were down by 0.2%.

Squarespace shares surged 13% following an agreement to be acquired by Permira for approximately $6.9 billion.

Apple is preparing to sell the Vision Pro outside the US, leading to a 1.8% increase in their stock value.
