OpenAI introduces GPT-4o, an advanced model for ChatGPT with improved text, voice, and vision capabilities. The new model can understand and discuss images shared by users much faster than before. GPT-4o is available for ChatGPT Plus and Team users, with Enterprise users getting access soon. Plus users will have 5x greater message limits.

GPT-4o brings voice and vision capabilities to ChatGPT, enabling users to have natural conversations and even receive real-time translations, recommendations, and history facts by sharing images with the AI chatbot. OpenAI plans to launch a Voice Mode with new capabilities in the alpha stage soon. ChatGPT now supports over 50 languages, including various Indian languages.

During a live event, OpenAI demonstrated the real-time Italian-to-English translation capability of ChatGPT using voice commands, similar to Google Assistant and Apple Siri. The AI chatbot can also perceive emotions through live images and respond in different tones or emotions, enhancing user experience. Free users can now access GPT-4 level intelligence, web responses, data analysis, photo discussions, file uploads, and more with GPT-4o.
