Workers in Baltimore are set to clear a massive cargo ship, the Dali, after it crashed into the Francis Scott Key bridge, causing significant disruptions to port operations. Governor Wes Moore stated that the vessel will be removed by the end of May, restoring full access to the port for car shipments. Federal investigators revealed the Dali had lost power before the crash, leading to the bridge collapse and multiple fatalities. Controlled explosions were used to remove bridge debris from the ship, facilitating the salvage process. The costs to rebuild the bridge are estimated at $1.7 billion to $1.9 billion, with completion expected by fall 2028.
