1. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will be closed on May 20 due to the Lok Sabha Election’s fifth voting phase in Mumbai. This marks the second holiday of the month, following Maharashtra Day on May 1.

2. The Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra are occurring in five phases, with the final phase on May 20. Banks in Maharashtra will also be closed on this day for voting in 13 Lok Sabha constituencies.

3. The Sensex and Nifty 50 closed with gains on Saturday, continuing a three-day rally fueled by foreign investments and positive global signals. Every sectoral index ended in the green, outperforming benchmarks small and mid-cap indices.

4. During the second special trading session, BSE Sensex closed at 74,005.94, up by 0.12%, while Nifty 50 reached 22,502.00, rising by 0.16%. Nifty Midcap 100 saw a 0.51% increase and Nifty SmallCap 100 surged by 0.82%. India VIX recorded a 3.67% increase in closure.
