Paramount has secured a new multi-year distribution deal with Charter Communications, ensuring that all of Paramount’s networks, including Showtime, CBS, and Paramount+, will continue to be carried by the parent company of Spectrum TV. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. This deal comes after a similar dispute between Charter and Disney last year, which resulted in Disney pulling its channels, including ESPN and ABC, from Charter Spectrum systems. Paramount’s successful negotiation with Charter may pave the way for a buyout from Skydance Media or Apollo Global and Sony as the company weighs its strategic options.
