The OpenAI board has established a safety and security committee, comprised of key directors and the CEO, to make critical decisions regarding safety and security for OpenAI projects and operations. The committee will evaluate and enhance OpenAI’s processes over the next 90 days.

In addition to the board members, OpenAI’s safety and security committee includes technical and policy experts. The committee will also consult with other safety, security, and technical experts, such as former cybersecurity officials, to support its work.

OpenAI recently unveiled its new AI model, GPT-40, capable of realistic voice conversation and interacting across audio, vision, and text in real-time. The model can accept various inputs and generate diverse outputs, responding to audio inputs in milliseconds, with safety measures built-in for enhanced security.
