Boeing’s Starliner capsule is set for a crewed test flight this Saturday, aiming to rival SpaceX in astronaut launches. The launch will take place at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and has faced delays due to technical issues. Starliner will carry two astronauts to the International Space Station, a critical milestone for Boeing in the space race against SpaceX. The crew includes veteran NASA astronauts Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Sunita “Suni” Williams, who have a combined 500 days in space. The Starliner is designed to fly autonomously, but crew members can take control if needed. If successful, this mission will mark the first crewed Atlas launch since the 1960s.
