Significant gold results from diamond drilling program at Belltopper Gold Project in Victoria

From GlobeNewswire: 2024-06-04 13:14:00

A six-hole diamond drilling program at the Belltopper Gold Project in Victoria has yielded significant intersect results, including 2 m @ 15.18 g/t Au, 4.25 m @ 5.88 g/t Au, and 12.26 m @ 1.45 g/t Au. New gold reefs have been identified, with potential for extension on historic reefs. The program focused on key target areas and demonstrated high-grade gold events similar to Fosterville gold mine.

Previous explorations at Belltopper have also produced significant results on underexplored historic gold reefs, including the Leven Star Reef with a current inferred resource of 0.82 Mt @ 3.95 g/t Au. A diamond drilling program in 2021-2022 confirmed the potential for high-grade mineralization and the presence of gold-bearing rock formations. Results from this program identified the potential for intrusive hosted or IRG mineralization at Belltopper.

The latest diamond drilling program at Belltopper involved six holes totaling 2,529 m and targeted structural, geochemical, and geophysical (IP) anomalies. Significant intersections include 4.25 m @ 5.88 g/t Au from 274.75 m, 5.6 m @ 3.14 g/t Au from 219.8 m, and 1.94 m @ 2.37 g/t Au from 230 m in BTD001 on the Leven Star Reef. The program confirmed high-grade mineralization and identified new gold-bearing structures, warranting further exploration in the area.
