Consumer Products and Healthcare sectors were top performers on Thursday, with some individual stock gains.

Consumer Products stocks were the best performing sector on Thursday, with J.M. Smucker Co. and Tesla Inc. standing out with gains of 4.9% and 2.5% respectively. The iShares U.S. Consumer Goods ETF was up 0.6% on the day and 6.04% year-to-date. In the Healthcare sector, Illumina Inc and Insulet Corp showed gains of 8.8% and 2.6% respectively.

Looking at the relative stock price performance chart on a trailing twelve month basis, J.M. Smucker Co. and Tesla Inc. showed positive gains despite year-to-date declines. Illumina Inc and Insulet Corp were also down year-to-date. The S&P 500 components in various sectors were mixed, with four sectors up and four sectors down on Thursday.
