To enhance the guest experience, Disney rethemed Splash Mountain into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, complete with new music, familiar characters, and updated animatronics. The revamp of Splash Mountain to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure serves to refresh the iconic water ride and tie it to Disney’s popular “Princess and the Frog” film. The upgraded animatronics, 3D printed elements, and new merchandise offerings will provide guests with a more enhanced and immersive experience at the rethemed attraction.
Disney’s parks business accounted for 36% of the company’s revenue and 70% of operating income in 2023, prompting investments in revamped attractions like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. CEO Bob Iger prioritized park investments for high returns, part of a broader strategy to boost profitability and enhance guest experiences.
