Walt Disney stock up 1.5% while Cisco Systems stock down 1.2%

In early trading, Walt Disney’s shares rose 1.5%, making it the top performer in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Year to date, Walt Disney has gained 12.4%. On the flip side, Cisco Systems is the worst performer, down 1.2% for the day and 10.7% year to date.

Two other Dow components moving today are Verizon Communications, down 1.2%, and Apple, up 0.4%. Cisco Systems and Walt Disney continue to show contrasting performance trends in the market. Cisco Systems is down while Walt Disney is up, showcasing the diversity of the Dow components’ performance.
