Amazon Labor Union members have voted to affiliate with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, providing stronger representation for negotiations with Amazon.

The Teamsters, a 1.3 million-member group, will support ALU in securing good jobs and safe working conditions for Amazon workers.

This move follows ALU’s victory in April 2022, marking the first unionization of U.S. Amazon warehouse workers.

ALU-IBT Local 1 will represent approximately 5,500 Amazon warehouse workers at JFK8 and have jurisdiction across New York’s five boroughs.
