The People’s Bank of China is not expected to change rates, maintaining the Medium-term Lending Facility rate. The Loan Prime Rate announcement due on the 20th has the 1-year rate at 3.45% and the 5-year rate at 3.95%, with the latter cut in February. The 5-year rate is crucial for mortgage rates. The LPR announcement will be made around 0115 GMT.
