OpenAI, backed by Microsoft, has acquired startup Rockset to enhance infrastructure for enterprise products like ChatGPT. The deal size was not disclosed, but sources say it was valued at a few hundred million in a stock deal. Rockset, which builds real-time search and analytics databases, had raised $105 million in total funding and will boost OpenAI’s data processing capabilities.

Rockset’s team will join OpenAI to power the retrieval infrastructure of ChatGPT enterprise products.
