Ferrari’s all-electric model, set for launch in late 2025, promises the emotional experience of a traditional Ferrari, according to CEO Benedetto Vigna. The luxury automaker’s bold move has sparked debate among car enthusiasts, especially regarding engine sound. The new E-Building in Italy allows Ferrari to produce cars with any powertrain in the same factory for greater flexibility.
Vigna emphasized that the sound of the electric Ferrari will be authentic, leveraging the unique engine noise of electric motors. This focus on authenticity highlights Ferrari’s commitment to delivering a complete emotional driving experience beyond just engine sound. The CEO expects customers to have the choice between internal combustion engines, hybrids, and the new all-electric model.
The new E-Building, costing over 200 million euros, positions Ferrari to meet high demand for its cars. With wait times for models extending up to three years due to limited production, the expansion of the E-Building will enable Ferrari to increase production capacity. Vigna affirmed that the company will continue to prioritize offering customers a range of powertrain options to meet their preferences.
