Toyota Motor Corporation’s Lexus charging stations in Japan are now open to all EV brands, offering 150kW max quick chargers for a fee of ¥120 per minute. Users can reserve spots up to 60 days in advance and access complimentary amenities. Toyota aims to expand to 100 stations nationwide by 2030.

The widespread adoption of Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) gained momentum last year, with Ford and other brands committing to this system. Companies like Honda, Toyota, and Lexus are transitioning from the Combined Charging System to NACS for Tesla port access.

Toyota sold 206,850 EV units in Q1 2024, marking a 74% rise YoY and contributing 36.6% to total sales volume. Other auto stocks like BLBD and AXL, with Zacks Rank #1, show promising growth estimates. BLBD anticipates 17.29% sales growth and AXL projects 3.05% sales growth in 2024.
