CME Group and Google Cloud are teaming up to build a private Google Cloud region and co-location facility in Aurora, Illinois, with construction starting this year. Clients will get advanced notice before the transfer to the new platform, specializing in supporting global trading of futures and options markets with low-latency networking and high-performance computing.

CME Group’s new specialized platform on Google Cloud will offer traders increased flexibility, operational efficiencies, and access to AI capabilities. CEO Terry Duffy highlighted the benefits of this partnership, touting closer proximity to data centers, disaster recovery in Dallas, extended access, customized connectivity options, and faster product development for clients with minimal operational disruptions.
