Instagram, under Meta Platforms, Inc., is launching the AI Studio, allowing creators to build AI chatbot versions of themselves to interact with their community, as announced by CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
The feature, discovered by researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, will offer prompts and tools within Instagram for crafting AI bot variations, with initial trials set to feature AI representations of favorite creators and interest-based AIs in messaging.
Meta’s personalized AI bots, currently in beta testing with chosen creators, can respond in the respective account’s style and will be clearly marked as AI entities. Creators have the freedom to train their bots on different social media aspects for more authentic replicas.
Testing of the AI Studio feature will start with 50 creators and a small user segment, expected to expand gradually to more users in the coming months with a targeted full-scale launch by August.
