Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset now available for international purchase, receiving mixed reviews

Apple Inc.’s Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset is now available for purchase internationally in countries like China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. Pre-orders are open in Canada, Germany, France, Australia, and the U.K., with sales starting on July 12th.

The pricing of the headset varies by country, with China’s starting price 18% higher than in the U.S. Apple has teamed up with ZEISS to provide optical inserts for vision correction, magnetically attachable to the headset for enhanced display sharpness.

In the U.K., customers can book one-on-one demonstrations of the Apple Vision Pro at selected Apple Stores beginning July 12th. Early reviews highlight impressive hardware and technology but raise concerns about functionality, gesture controls, weight, comfort, and virtual reality experience.
