Investors are favoring Indian and Chinese stocks in Asia for the second half of the year, with emerging markets gaining attention. Chinese and Indian stocks are expected to see the most growth in the next six months, followed by Japanese stocks. Asian Emerging markets stocks were the most bought in June.
Indian stocks are experiencing post-election optimism and are considered relatively immune to geopolitical tensions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s re-election and commitment to policy continuity have fueled growth, with India’s stock market value surpassing $5 trillion.
Chinese stocks are valued for their low valuations and expected policy changes. However, prices are undergoing a correction after a strong rally. A survey found that Asian equities are likely to outperform US counterparts through 2024 due to Fed rate cuts and cheap valuations, but gains may be limited to 10% or less.
