Microsoft Corp. is increasing prices for all tiers of its Xbox Game Pass subscription service starting in September. A new Standard tier priced at $14.99 per month will be launched, offering access to a back catalog. The Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscription prices will also see increases of $3 and $2, respectively.

New users will no longer be able to sign up for Xbox Game Pass for Console, with existing subscribers maintaining their subscriptions. The ability to stack Xbox Game Pass for Console subscriptions will be limited to 13 months starting September 12, 2024. Game Pass Core will see an annual price increase but remain at $9.99 per month.

These changes, including price adjustments and subscription options, will go into effect on September 12. The launch date for the new Standard tier is yet to be announced.
