Former U.S. president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is set to speak at a conference in Nashville, Tennessee on July 27, focusing on cryptocurrencies and financial freedom.

The crypto industry is seeking to influence U.S. politicians in light of increased scrutiny from regulators following bankruptcies at major firms in 2022. Trump has shown support for American Bitcoin industry growth.

During a tech fundraiser in San Francisco, Trump raised $12 million with executives from Coinbase and the Winklevoss twins in attendance. The White House under Biden aims to work with Congress on cryptocurrency regulations.
