Market falls as tech and chip stocks decline, with Nasdaq dropping over 1%

Wall Street started Wednesday with a tumble, particularly in the Nasdaq which slumped over 1% due to declines in major chip and tech stocks. The Dow Jones fell 91.91 points to 40,862.57, while the S&P 500 opened lower by 57.13 points at 5,610.07, and the Nasdaq dropped 321.15 points to 18,188.19.
