Teradata integrates DataRobot AI Platform to enhance enterprise AI capabilities

Teradata (TDC) integrates DataRobot AI Platform with VantageCloud and ClearScape Analytics, enhancing enterprise AI capabilities for building and deploying AI models. The collaboration enables import and operationalization of DataRobot’s AI models within VantageCloud, empowering data scientists with customizable tools for secure, cost-effective AI model deployment in various environments.

In Q1 2024, Teradata saw significant growth in Cloud ARR, reaching $525 million and growing 36% year over year at constant currency. The strong adoption of Teradata’s cloud solutions, along with partnerships with Google Cloud, Microsoft, Anaconda, and Amazon, has been crucial for driving growth. Further expansions with Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure aim to leverage technology and expertise for Trusted AI offerings.

Despite a strong partner base and innovative solutions, TDC faces challenges from on-premises erosion and elongated deal cycles, impacting its top line. TDC’s shares have declined 19.8% YTD compared to the sector’s rise of 25.5%. Revenues for Q2 2024 are expected to decline 3.12% year over year, with non-GAAP EPS projected at 46-50 cents per share. Challenges persist in revenue growth and market performance for Teradata.
