Apple is set to introduce new Mac mini models powered by M4 and M4 Pro chips later this year, according to reports from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The lineup will include updates to the iMac and MacBook Pro, all featuring the advanced M4 technology.

The upcoming Mac mini will undergo its first major redesign since 2010. The new model is expected to be similar in size to an Apple TV but slightly taller, maintaining the iconic aluminum casing. Described as an “iPad Pro in a small box,” it will offer advanced features and connectivity options like three USB-C ports.

The new Mac mini will come in two versions: one with a standard M4 chip similar to the iPad Pro’s, and the other with a more powerful M4 Pro chip for demanding tasks. The base model is set to ship this month with a wider release later in the year, while the high-end version with the M4 Pro chip is expected by October.
