The United Auto Workers Union files complaints against Donald Trump and Elon Musk for threatening and intimidating workers. The NLRB has limited power to punish unlawful labor practices, seeking to expose Trump and Musk politically and sending a message. UAW filed separate complaints against Musk and Trump for suggesting they would fire employees engaged in protected activities. UAW successfully led a strike against Detroit automakers last year, winning record contracts. Musk faces challenges with the NLRB for his statements and actions regarding union activities.

Legal action by lawyers at the labor board will investigate the union’s claims against Tesla and the Trump campaign. Administrative judges will hear the cases, with decisions reviewable by the five-member labor board and federal appeals courts. The legal process is expected to be lengthy and could take years for resolution.
