General Motors’ GMC brand aims to lead all-electric truck sales in the U.S. with the launch of the Sierra EV pickup, joining the Hummer in GMC’s electric lineup. The $100,000 Edition 1 Sierra is just the beginning, with lower-priced models expected next year. GMC’s goal is to outsell competitors such as Ford, Rivian and Tesla in the electric truck market. Sierra EV’s closest competitor is the Chevy Silverado EV, built on the same platform but differentiated by design and features. Both offer 440 miles of range, 754 horsepower, and can tow up to 10,000 pounds. GMC’s premium Denali models are expected to further enhance the brand’s reputation and pricing power in the market. The Sierra EV will contribute to GMC’s overall sales growth and continued success as a premium truck brand, with Denali models playing a significant role in sales and attracting new customers to the brand.
