Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous creator of Bitcoin, once considered naming the cryptocurrency “Titcoin” in 2009, sparking discussion in the crypto community about his identity. The revelation came from a post by The Bitcoin Podcast host, Walker, who shared an unverified email from Nakamoto.

The email suggested using “Titcoin” to attract more attention and appeal to a wider audience. Interestingly, the domain Titcoin.org, mentioned in the email, still leads to “THE Bitcoin Podcast” webpage today.

Debate continues on Nakamoto’s true identity, with some speculating he may have been German or even Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Regardless, Satoshi Nakamoto’s legacy includes publishing the Bitcoin Whitepaper in 2008 and launching the cryptocurrency in 2009. Bitcoin has come a long way since, recently gaining ETF approval in the U.S.
