The cryptocurrency community reminisced about Bitcoin’s early days, with a chart by Pete Rizzo revealing you could buy 10 BTC for $1 exactly 14 years ago. Bitcoin’s price then was a fraction of a cent, now worth hundreds of thousands, marking the digital currency’s meteoric rise from obscurity to a multi-trillion-dollar market.

An old Bitcoin wallet, untouched for 11.4 years, was reactivated, holding BTC worth $10,174 in 2013, now valued at a staggering $3.27 million, a 32,087% increase. Recent surges propelled Bitcoin’s market cap to $1.2 trillion, with a market dominance of 55.7%, contributing to the overall crypto market cap of $2.17 trillion.

Bitcoin hit a high of $73,798 in March, driven by bets on relaxed U.S. monetary policy and ETF inflows. Fluctuations have since calmed, with Bitcoin trading at $61,087, up 0.37% in the last 24 hours.
