Salesforce exceeded Q2 earnings expectations, with a strong revenue growth forecast for fiscal 2025.

Salesforce shares rose 1.5% after the business software maker reported strong fiscal second-quarter results that exceeded expectations. President and CFO Amy Weaver will step down. Revenue grew 8% year over year, with net income at $1.43 billion. Salesforce forecasts adjusted fiscal third-quarter earnings of $2.42 to $2.44 per share on $9.31 billion to $9.36 billion in revenue.

In fiscal 2025, Salesforce management expects $10.03 to $10.11 per share in earnings on $37.7 billion to $38 billion in revenue. In fall, Salesforce will test Einstein Copilot for Merchants. Activist investors Starboard and ValueAct increased their Salesforce positions earlier this month. Salesforce shares are down 2% in 2024, while the S&P 500 index has gained 17%.
