Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson believes Bitcoin is not self-sufficient and could be replaced by better technology

Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, recently stated in an interview that Bitcoin is not a self-sufficient blockchain and needs the crypto industry to survive. He believes another asset with better technology could replace Bitcoin as digital gold.

Although the interview is from last December, it resurfaced, sparking strong reactions from the crypto community. Despite predicting Bitcoin’s decline, Cardano faced backlash, defending Bitcoin’s decentralized nature.

Coinciding with Hoskinson’s interview, Cardano underwent its largest hard fork named Chang, aiming to achieve full decentralization. The hard fork officially commenced at 9:45 p.m. UTC, empowering the ADA community to manage the network.
