Services sector is the best performing with gains from Dollar Tree and Amazon

In afternoon trading on Thursday, Services stocks are the best performing sector, with Dollar Tree Inc (DLTR) and Amazon.com Inc (AMZN) leading the way with gains of 5.8% and 2.5%, respectively. The iShares U.S. Consumer Services ETF (IYC) is up 0.5% on the day and 9.76% year-to-date.

Following closely behind, the Utilities sector is down just 0.1%, with PG&E Corp (PCG) and Pinnacle West Capital Corp (PNW) showing gains of 0.5%. The Utilities Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLU) is down 0.1% on the day but up 22.84% year-to-date.

On a trailing twelve month basis, a relative stock price performance chart shows the stocks and ETFs in different colors. In sector performance, Services are up by 0.1%, while eight other sectors, including Healthcare and Industrial, are down.
