Huawei plans to release a tri-fold smartphone on Sept. 10, following Apple’s iPhone 16 launch. The company has received over 2.7 million pre-orders for the Mate XT. Apple lost its top five smartphone vendor spot in China in Q2, with Huawei ranking fourth by market share at 10.6 million shipments. Apple has not entered the folding and flip phone market.
