Alaska Airlines raised its third-quarter profit forecast to $2.15-$2.25 per share, Delta expects domestic and trans-Atlantic unit revenue to increase in September even after recent disruptions. Airfare prices are rising, Frontier Airlines might break even this quarter, and U.S. airlines have slowed hiring due to late aircraft deliveries and reduced demand.
