UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is determined to reset relations with the EU and has held talks in Paris and Berlin to seek closer ties. Brussels has suggested a youth mobility agreement, but Starmer maintained there are “no plans” for such a scheme. He emphasized the need for a proper negotiation process and ambitious goals within the EU reset, ruling out rejoining the EU, single market, customs union, or freedom of movement. Starmer declined to elaborate on objections to the youth mobility scheme, repeating that there are currently no plans for it.
