OpenAI has formed a new safety committee to oversee the organization’s ethical and social implications. The board will have more authority and independence, operating separately from OpenAI’s board of directors. Sam Altman, previously OpenAI’s co-chairman, will not be part of the new safety committee. The move aims to address concerns over potential conflicts of interest.
