Tennessee to raise season ticket prices 10% for revenue sharing

The University of Tennessee is raising season ticket prices by 10% across all sports in preparation for student-athletes receiving a share of the school’s sports revenue. This increase, called a “talent fee,” aims to fund the proposed revenue sharing. If approved, the settlement would give $2.78 billion to student-athletes and allow schools to pay players up to 22% of Power Five schools’ average athletic revenue.

Athletic director Danny White says the collegiate model is changing and Tennessee must remain flexible and lead the way in providing resources to student-athletes. The changes, effective from the 2025 football season, include a 4.5% hike on single-game tickets. With one of the largest athletic departments in the country, Tennessee is preparing for a new era of college sports revenue sharing.
