Tech stocks were mixed Wednesday afternoon, with the XLK decreasing by 0.4% and the XSD up by 0.1%. The Philadelphia Semiconductor index added 0.1%. In corporate news, Google has won its appeal against a 1.49 billion euro fine imposed by the European Commission. Alphabet shares were up 0.1%.

Qualcomm’s fine over predatory pricing and abuse of its dominant position in the market has been largely upheld by the General Court of the EU. Qualcomm shares were rising by 0.3%. Apple is experiencing softer year-over-year demand for its latest iPhone, particularly among high-end variants. UBS Securities noted a decrease in pre-orders, causing Apple shares to increase by 2%.
