HII announced that Steve Powell will become the next corporate vice president and treasurer effective Jan. 1, 2025, succeeding D.R. “Rick” Wyatt. Powell will be responsible for various financial aspects and will report directly to the CFO. Powell has been with HII since 2011 and previously worked at Lockheed Martin and Martin Marietta. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and an MBA. HII is a global defense provider with a mission to deliver powerful ships and solutions for national security. They have a workforce of 44,000 and a history of over 135 years in advancing U.S. national security.
