Morgan Stanley note on Blackwell chips (NVDA)
September 24, 2024
Strong demand of most recent Blackwell chips is driving its growth of Nvidia and these chips are
being mass produced. The utilization of Nvidia’s Hopper H200 processors is increasing,
especially by cloud providers and AI-focused startups and companies.
Morgan Stanley estimates that Nvidia may generate over $10 billion in sales if it produces
450,000 Blackwell chips in Q4 2024. While the company is currently working to resolve certain
technical issues with its GB200 server racks, these are standard concerns that arise when new
products are introduced.
Hon Hai, Nvidia’s assembly partner, is anticipated to start selling the GB200 racks by late Q4
2024, putting Nvidia in a strong position for future success in the cloud and AI sectors.
