Chinese stocks had their best week since 2008, with the Shanghai Composite Index rising 0.4%. This comes despite regulatory crackdowns on tech companies and fears of an economic slowdown. The CSI 300 index rose 0.5% as well, buoyed by better-than-expected economic data. The Hang Seng Tech Index also saw gains.
