Pfizer sells shares in Haleon, reducing stake from 22.6% to 15.0%

Pfizer has sold 640 million shares in Haleon plc at 380 pence per share, raising approximately 2.43 billion pounds in gross sale proceeds. Settlement is expected on October 3, 2024. Haleon will also buy back 60.5 million shares from Pfizer for about 230 million pounds at the same price. In total, Pfizer will receive approximately 2.66 billion pounds from the offering and buyback, reducing its interest in Haleon from 22.6% to 15.0%. CEO of Haleon, Brian McNamara, stated the purchase fulfills their commitment to return 500 million pounds to shareholders this year.
