Tesla unveiled its Cybercab robotaxi, set for production by 2026 and priced under $30,000. The company also introduced the Robovan and an updated humanoid robot, “Optimus.” Elon Musk showcased the vehicles at the “We, Robot” event in California. The Cybercab, with no steering wheel or pedals, will seat two. Tesla plans to start rolling out full self-driving in some models by 2025. Musk claimed the Cybercab’s operating costs will be around 20 cents per mile. The shift to AI and autonomous driving comes as Tesla faces sales decline and increased competition, with potential for its first-ever annual delivery decline in 2024.
