Warner Bros. Discovery secures pro basketball on TNT Sports, as the new pro women’s basketball league “Unrivaled” signs a multiyear media rights deal to air games on TNT, truTV, and Max, featuring WNBA stars Collier and Breanna Stewart.

The new league Unrivaled is co-founded by WNBA stars Collier and Stewart, offering equity to players and the highest average salary in women’s pro sports history, allowing athletes to compete in the U.S. during the offseason.

The newfound interest in the WNBA results in attendance and viewership surges, leading to an expanded WNBA season and Finals series next year, showcasing rising stars like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

TNT Sports will feature over 45 primetime regular season matches, offering a consistent home for Unrivaled games with content available on platforms like Bleacher Report and House of Highlights, enhancing the overall viewer experience.

Media rights deal valued at $2.2 billion for 11 seasons negotiated as part of the 11-year, $77 billion NBA deal, marking the end of a longstanding Turner Sports and NBA partnership.

Unrivaled and TNT Sports partner with Mediapro North America for audio and TV production, ensuring high-quality broadcasts for viewers.

Renowned broadcaster and NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley commits to staying with Turner Sports, even if the company doesn’t secure NBA media rights in the future, emphasizing the valuable partnership between Barkley and TNT Sports.
