Chinese smartphone company Honor revealed new AI features for its Magic operating system. The AI assistant can automatically order coffee, identify documents, and make calls without user interaction. The Magic 7 smartphone, launching on Oct. 30, will feature these AI capabilities using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Elite 8 chip.

Apple’s China sales have fallen to 17% of revenue, with Honor, Xiaomi, and Huawei launching foldables. Apple CEO Tim Cook met with China’s Minister of Industry to discuss data security. Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max has dropped in value on second-hand platforms, while Huawei’s Mate XT trifold phone has also seen price cuts.
