Wall Street falls as its strong rally slows down, S&P 500 and Dow drop over 0.5%

Wall Street fell as its hot streak cooled off. The S&P 500 and Dow both dropped over 0.5%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq fell nearly 1%. Inflation worries and weak retail sales data contributed to the decline. Despite the dip, the S&P 500 and Dow are still up over 12% for the year. The Nasdaq is up around 6%. Investors are now looking ahead to a Federal Reserve meeting next week for clues on the central bank’s stance on inflation and interest rates.
